29 August 2024: DRASTIC webinar with keynote by Omtre’s CEO
The project is co-funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe partnership and is supported by a consortium of 23 project partners from 8 European countries. DRASTIC is about designing sustainable buildings with reduced embodied energy and carbon emissions, high life-cycle performance, and reduced life-cycle costs.

Omtres CFO, Urda Ljøterud, presents SirkTRE, a Green Platform project worth 181 million NOK, which aims to lift the wood industry and the construction industry towards the fully circular, green shift by industrializing the reuse of wood.

20-22 September 2024: Ecosystem future co-creation workshop on Sud-Koster
Omtre, in collaboration with Maastricht University and with the support of the World Green Building Council and the Ostland University of Applied Sciences, a partner in our sister project SNUG, is organizing a co-creation workshop aimed at key stakeholders in sustainable circular building and neighborhood development.

The Forum Wood Building Nordic in Oslo focuses on the wooden architecture and constructions in the future perspective. SirkTRE is (re)establishing the timber value circles. How to we speed up reuse of timber? What is needed to make reuse happen? We gathered at The Hub for an evening seminar with talks and discussions on reuse of timber. For all time, humankind has known the value of timber and reused it well. Now it’s time to take back this knowledge. What resources for reuse do we have around us? Do we just throw away too much?! For this seminar we wanted to share SirkTRE halfway results. And discuss the potential and obstacles in reuse of timber.
